The Adams County Fair hosted its annual Miss Teen Adams County and Junior Miss Adams County Pageant on Thursday, July 24. Hundreds of people crowded into and around the new Bicentennial Heritage Farms Pavilion inside the Family Fun Zone at the fair to watch the pageant.
Seven young ladies also competed for the title of Miss Teen Adams County the same evening. Judges evaluated the teens based on randomly drawn questions and performance on stage. The contestants also gave a 30 second prepared speech answering the prompt, “What does the Adams County Fair mean to you?” A closed door interview was also conducted with judges days before the pageant as well. Judges chose 15 year-old Michaela Voth to be the 2025 Miss Teen Adams County. Michaela is the 15-year-old daughter of Lance and Michelle Voth of Ursa. She attends Unity High School and enjoys volleyball, basketball and softball. She also loves volunteering at the Quincy Humane Society, going on family vacations, writing, drawing, attending county fairs, spending time with friends, and competing in pageants. The runner up was Elaina Weiman. She is the 15-year-old daughter of Matt and Penny Weiman of Payson. She attends Quincy Notre Dame High School and enjoys softball, 4-H, showing cows, and shooting trap. Weiman also was awarded the Peoples’ Choice Award. Th retiring Miss Teen Adams County is Lydia Zanger of Quincy. The Junior Miss Adams County Madilyn King and Miss Teen Adams County Michaela Voth join the new 2025 Miss Adams County Andrea Schaffnit, Little Mister Marcus Buck and Little Miss Ava Brinkman as Fair royalty. The new Miss Teen Adams County takes home a wardrobe from Trudy’s Trendy Boutique, and special gifts from Rachel B Photography, Emerald City Jewelers, Tannie Cakes, Texas Roadhouse, Expressions by Christine and Ruthie Bea’s.
