Junior Market Hog Show Rules
 
Must be 8 years of age or in third grade and not yet 21 years by September 1, 2025.  
 
Exhibitors should only be assisted in herd or flock classes during the judging process only by other boys and girls who meet the age requirement of the junior class.
 
Each exhibitor must show his or her own animal. If Jr. exhibitor shows in both shows they must show the same animals.
 
This is a non-terminal market hog show. No animal is to weigh more than 320 lbs. Weight strictly enforced.
 
All market hogs must be on the fairgrounds by 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2026. Entry deadline is 11:00 a.m. August 3, 2026. This market hog show will include barrows and gilts. Animals will be placed on foot only in the Junior Show.
 
Show is open to purebreds, crossbreds and hybrids, however, no exhibitor will be allowed to win more than one premium in each class.
 
The superintendents have the right to equalize the number in each class.
 
All animals must meet certification standards.
 
The Judge is instructed to eliminate any animal that in his judgment is not sound.
 
Market hogs will be weighed from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the show beginning at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2026.
 
An entry fee of $5.00 per entry will be charged.
