The Adams County Fair hosted its annual Miss Teen Adams County and Junior Miss Adams County Pageant on Thursday, July 24. Hundreds of people crowded into and around the new Bicentennial Heritage Farms Pavilion inside the Family Fun Zone at the fair to watch the pageant.
Eight girls between the ages of eight and twelve competed to become the 2025 Junior Miss Adams County. Judges evaluated the young ladies based on pop questions and performance on stage. A closed door interview was also conducted with judges days before the pageant as well. Judges chose Madilyn King, the 11-year-old daughter of Adam and Linda King of Mendon. She attends St. Peter School and enjoys reading, crocheting, gardening, cheer and swimming. The runner-up was Brooklyn Cassens. Brooklyn is the 10-year-old daughter of Justin and Kristen Cassens of Camp Point. She attends Central Jr. High School and enjoys gymnastics, dance, softball, cheer, boating and crafting. Voting for the People’s Choice Award took place at a Miss Adams County pageant program Dine to Donate Fundraiser on July 8th at Texas Roadhouse. The Junior Miss People’s Choice winner with the most votes was 8 year-old Adelynn Albert. Adelynn is the 8-year-old daughter of Lexi and Jay Albert of Quincy. She attends Lincoln Douglas School and enjoys gymnastics, volleyball, and making TikToks. The outgoing 2024 Junior Miss Adams County was Berkley Gunther of Camp Point. The new Junior Miss Madilyn takes home a wardrobe from Trudy’s Trendy Boutique, and special gifts from Rachel B Photography, Emerald City Jewelers, Tannie Cakes, Texas Roadhouse, Expressions by Christine, Autumn Harvest Farms and Ruthie Bea’s. |
