Market Hog Show

Market Hog Show Rules
  1.  This is a non-terminal market hog show, no animal to weigh more than 320#.
       Weight strictly enforced. All hogs must have health papers. Vet will check papers.
  2.  All market hogs must be entered and on the fairgrounds by 11:00 a.m. Monday,
       August 1, 2022.
  3.  Market Hogs will be weighed from 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2022.
       Show begins at 1:00 p.m.
  4.  This market hog show will include barrows and gilts. Animals will be placed on foot by
       the judge and further evaluated alive by Steve Kern using a real time scanner to
       collect backfat and loin eye figures. The % lean index will be used to place animals
       for the carcass evaluation portion of the show.
  5.  There will be a service charge of $ 7.00 per animal, paid at the time of entry for
       evaluation service.
  6.  An entry fee of $8.00 per animal will be charged.
  7.  Show is open to the world for purebreds, crossbreds, and hybrids; however no
       exhibitor will be allowed to win more than two premiums in each class.
  8.  Exhibitors will be responsible for their animal being in the show ring in its proper class.
  9.  The superintendents have the right to equalize the number in each class.
10.  All animals must meet certification standards.
11.  The judge is instructed to eliminate any animal that, in his judgment, is not sound.
