Bill and Sandra Kretzer have been life-long supporters of Adams County Fair.
Bill was a 1954 graduate of Unity High School in Mendon. He married Sandra A. Dedert on May 5, 1956 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Fowler.
Bill wore many hats throughout his life. He owned and operated BF Tenvorde Lumberyard, was a farmer, Unit 4 Bus Driver, Cen-Pe-Co Oil Salesman and a seed salesman.
Bill was very community-minded, taking on many roles of public service throughout his busy life. He was a member of the Mendon Lions Club, Honey Creek Township Board, 3 Adam 20 Ambulance Boards, Adams County Fair Board, Fowler Fire Department and the Home Cemetery Board. A proud moment for Bill was his induction into the Unity Hall of Fame.
Sandra was also very busy supporting her community. Sandra worked in the Adams County Fair office for many years.
Together Bill and Sandra were members of the St. Paul United Church of Christ. They also focused a great deal on the youth of their community, serving as 4-H leaders for many years.
Bill passed away in 2019. Sandra continues to be an avid Adams County Fair supporter. When she isn't in the show barn watching her grand children and great-grandchildren, you can find her around the fair. Look for her at her son Dan (Cindy) at the Cen-Pe-Co Booth, watching her son Don (Pam) pulling his tractor, "The Bear," or at with her daughter Lorie (Greg) Graham at Graham's Lemonade Shake-Up Stand.
Sandra has never missed a day of the fair. She enjoys seeing and visiting with friends and family at the fair.
Bill and Sandra have three children, six grandchildren (one deceased) and 12 great-grandchildren.
