1st–$135.00; 2nd–$100.00; 3rd–$75.00; 4th–$50.00

5th–$40.00; 6th–$30.00; 7th–$25.00; 8th–$20.00

RULES

1. This is a non-terminal market hog show, no animal to weigh less than 200#

or more than 300#. Weight strictly enforced. All hogs must have health

papers. Vet will check papers.

2. All market hogs must be on the fairgrounds by 11:00 a.m. Monday, July

28, 2008. Entry deadline 11:00 a.m., July 28, 2008.

3. This market hog show will include barrows and gilts. Animals will be placed

on foot by the judge and further evaluated alive by Steve Kern using a

real time scanner to collect backfat and loin eye figures. The % lean index

will be used to place animals for the carcass evaluation portion of the show.

4. There will be a service charge of $ _______.per animal, paid at the time of entry

for evaluation service.

5. An entry fee of $8.00 per animal will be charged. Each market hog will be

weighed once, no re-weighing.

6. Each exhibitor will be required to purchase a $10.00 exhibitor’s pass.

7. Market hogs will be weighed from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with the show

beginning at 1:00 p.m., July 28, 2008.

8. Show is open to the world for purebreds, crossbreds, and hybrids; however

no exhibitor will be allowed to win more than two premiums in each class.

9. Exhibitors will be responsible for their animal being in the show ring in its

proper class.

10. The superintendents have the right to equalize the number in each class.

11. All animals must meet certification standards.

12. The judge is instructed to eliminate any animal that, in his judgment, is not

sound.

Junior Show

AMOUNT OFFERED IN THIS DEPARTMENT IS $730.00

Junior Market Hog Show Rules

Jr. exhibitor must be at least 8 years old by Jan. 1, 2008. And cannot be over 18

by Jan. 1, 2008.

Each exhibitor must show his or her own animal. If Jr. exhibitor shows in both shows

they must show the same animals.

Each exhibitor required to purchase exhibitor pass.
